He is predeceased by his parents, Stanley J. Gerlock, Sr. and Angela C. Gerlock. He is survived by his sister Ann Gerlock of New York City and brother Edward Gerlock of the Philippines; as well as several cousins.
Father Gerlock was a graduate of St. Mary's College and St. Cyril Methodius Seminary, both of Orchard Lake, Michigan. He was ordained April 2, 1960 at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Syracuse, NY. Celebrated his first Mass at St. Patrick's Church in Binghamton. He served as Associate Pastor for St. John the Evangelist, Binghamton; Holy Trinity, Utica; Blessed Sacrament, Utica; Blessed Sacrament, Johnson City; Our Lady of The Rosary, New Hartford; St. Paul's, Binghamton; St. Ambrose, Endicott; Pastor for St. John the Evangelist, Bainbridge; St. Agnes, Afton; St. Mary's, Kirkwood; St. Rita's, Chenango Forks. He was also in the Jail Ministry for over 20 years.
