Died Oct.10,1774 at the Battle of Point Pleasant during Dunmore's War (1773-1774). The Battle was fought between Virginia Militia and mostly American Indian forces from the Shawnee and Mingo Nations. Ensign Bracken was in Capt. Robert McClennahan's Co. of Greenbriar Valley volunteers in the Botetouri County Regiment, a total of 8 men died in this company during the battle.
