SULPHUR -- Services for Maurice R. Allman, 61, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Finis Steelman officiating. Interment will be at Hominy Cemetery under the direction of Krien Funeral Home, Davis.

Allman was born Oct. 7, 1938, at Hominy, to Maurice V. and Francis Ralston Allman. He died Nov. 28, 1999, at his home in Sulphur.

Reared in Hominy, he graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Law and served in the Air Force before beginning his law practice. He practiced law in Sulphur for 17 years. He lived in Edmond nine years, served as Federal Magistrate seven years and returned to Sulphur approximately three months ago. He was a member of Hominy Presbyterian Church, Oklahoma and American Bar associations. He and Charlotte A. Glover were married Nov. 30, 1986, in Las Vegas.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Robert S. Barefoot, Sulphur, and Mack N. Barefoot, Austin, Texas; his mother, Francis, Hominy; a sister, Katie Schneider, Rapid City, S.D.; and four grandchildren.

Bearers will be Tom Drake, Jerry Wade, Dr. John Jameson, Carson Hollis and Rue Dee Glover. Honorary bearers are Bill McNeal and Merlene Lewis.
