Death Of An Old Settler - Matthew W. Craig, an old and highly respected citizen of Verdigris tp., died at his home last Monday, the 11th inst. Mr. Craig came from Illinois and settled in Verdigris tp., in 1862, and resided there continuously up to the time of his death. He was 49 years old ast February. He leaves a wife and six children. He was a brother of Thos. C. Craig of Guilford, and A.M. and J.N. Craig of Verdigris tp. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W.B. Barton, and the remains were buried in the family graveyard on the Verdigris, Wednesday. Mr. Craig was sick but about a week and his family have the sympathy of all who knew them in their sudden and sad bereavement.
