Mona Mae Smith, 79 of Albia, formerly of Ollie, Iowa, passed away Saturday Jan. 6, 2018 at the Monroe County Hospital in Albia, Iowa. Mona Mae, the daughter of Carl Bedker and Myrtle Johnson Daly was born in 1938 in North Platte, NE. Mona's father passed in 1940. When her mother married Charles[Ed] Daly she gained seven siblings. Mona attended High School in North Platte Neb. After making Iowa her home she attended College at Indian Hills in Ottumwa. She enjoyed painting and crafts and was always busy with a project. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Carl Bedker, Charles and Myrtle Daly; brothers Dale Bedker, Lavern Bedker; stepbrothers Emory Daly, Eldon Daly, Clinton Daly, and Dick Daly.
