Dorothy Mae Kaiser, 77, of ManorCare Health Services, formerly of 1688 Ohio St., and Sinsinawa, Wis., died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, at ManorCare.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Nativity Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Sinisinawa. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. The Siegert-Casper Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on Jan. 4, 1931, in Hazel Green, Wis., daughter of Lawrence and Agnes (Splinter) Kaiser. Dorothy lived on the family farm until 1972, when she moved to Dubuque. She loved the farm and took great joy in caring for her niece and nephews during their frequent stays.

Dorothy made her home at ManorCare since 1992, following double knee replacement surgery. She enjoyed a second life there making many new friends that she kept in contact with throughout the years.

She was devoted to saying the rosary three times a day. Dorothy loved playing cards, putting together puzzles, and playing bingo. She played bingo up until last Monday.

Surviving are two sisters, Genevieve Roling and Jayne (Donald) Banfield, both of Dubuque; two nephews, Klint and Jason "My Boy" Banfield, both of Dubuque; and a niece, Nadine Banfield-Spautz, of Dubuque.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother-in-law, Merlin Roling; and Nadine's husband, Richard (Duke) Spautz.
