Gordon E. Klahn, age 86, of Stanton, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Spectrum Health Hospitals Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Gordy was a guy who loved tinkering and building things. He was a talented woodworker and clock maker. He would crack you up with his sense of humor and witty personality. Gordy loved his John Deere lawn mowers, his coin collection, antiques, cookies, Werther's candy, and searching for treasures with his metal detector. He also enjoyed playing bingo with his neighbors at Myrtle Mae in Stanton and Greenville Rehab and Nursing. Gordy will be dearly missed by everyone. He was a very social guy who loved talking to others and making new friends.

Surviving Gordy is his children, Korinne (Dennis) Holt of the Republic of Georgia, Cathy Liceasa of Delton, John (Cindy) Bishop of Delton, and Cheryl (Terry) Gibson of Stanton; grandchildren, Seth Holt, Jesse (Maaike) Holt, Tia (Josh) Pearce, Andrea Cox, Rico (Christine) Liceaga, Jeremy (Tabetha) Bishop, June (Mike) Behrendt, Jeana Bishop, Jennifer Moore, Brandon (Melissa) Gibson, and Breann (Jason) Bonga; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Wally (Nadine) Hull of Delton and Mike (Mary) Hull of Battle Creek; nephew, Scott (Bambee) Hull; nieces, Sonja (Joel) Sigman and Jo Lynn Whimper; 9 great nieces and nephews; and special friends, Bonnie Young and Karen Williams.

Gordy was preceded in death by his wife Gwen; parents, Alton & Marion (Perkins) Klahn; daughters, Sharilyn Klahn and Susan Bishop; great grandson, Amos Holt; nephew, Jerry Cox; son-in-law, Blas Liceaga; niece, Jill Hull; and special friends, Don Williams and Roger Ackerson.

Graveside services for Gordy will be held at McBride Cemetery on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11 AM with Gilbert Morris officiating. The family asks everyone to wear John Deere clothing or John Deere colors to the graveside ceremony.
