Dagmar E. Abkarian, 85, a former boarding school housemother, died Saturday at Moravian Manor, Lititz, after a brief illness. Formerly of New York, Maryland and Massachusetts, she had lived at Moravian Manor since 1981.
Miss Abkarian had worked as a housemother in boarding schools in New York and Maryland and at the Northampton School for Girls in Massachusetts. She was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church.
Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Sarkis and Johanna Lange Abkarian.
Surviving is a brother, Albert, Cuermavaca, Mexico.
