WORCESTER — Shirley (Reidy) Killeen, 98, of Worcester passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, surrounded by love and her family.

Shirley is predeceased by her husband of 47 years, T. Francis Killeen, who passed away in 1997. Shirley leaves three children, Thomas F. Killeen Jr. and his wife Ellen of Worcester, Stephen J. Killeen and his wife Priscilla of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, and Sheila M. Killeen of Worcester; five grandchildren, Thomas F. Killeen III, Maura Killeen, Erin Killeen, Samantha Lippman and her husband Matthew, and Brynn Killeen; and a great-grandson, Carter Lippman.

Shirley was the daughter of James R. and Mary (Sullivan) Reidy, and was a lifelong resident of Worcester, MA. She was a graduate of North High School and worked at U.S. Steel Corp. in Worcester.

Shirley was a woman of deep faith and a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Parish.

Shirley was a remarkable woman who was blessed with many different talents and interests. Her mind was a vast reservoir of wisdom and information. She had thoughtful insight about history and politics. She loved geography and travelled the world to explore and experience different cultures and passed on this love to her grandchildren. She was skilled at cross-stich and needlepoint embroidery and was accomplished at crossword puzzles and always knew every answer.
