Kenneth M. Abbott, 53, of White Pigeon, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at his home, following an extended illness.

He was born March 11, 1959, in Detroit, a son of Kenneth and Joyce (Clayton) Abbott.

He was resident of White Pigeon for 30 years, coming from Union, and was the owner of Ken's Chimney Sweep and Tree Service and also had been employed in farming.

He was a member of Mottville Community Church and ACT Social Group.

Surviving are two sisters, Kathy (Andrew) Frech of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Lisa Westfall of Elkhart, Ind.; a brother, Kurtis E. (Donna) Abott of Largo, Fla; and six nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Relative and friends may call from 2-3 p.m. Saturday at Farrand Funeral Home of White Pigeon, where services are at 3 p.m. Saturday. Pastor John Hickey of Trinity Lutheran Church of Goshen, Ind., will officiate. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Adamsville Cemetery.
