Jack Oliver Clouse, 82, of North Platte, died December 1, 2014 at Great Plains Health. Jack was born March 16, 1932 to Raymond "Jim" and Marion (Lewis) Clouse in Scottsbluff, NE. He married Audrey Anthony in 1956. To this union 3 sons and 2 daughters were added. Jack had one son from a previous marriage. Jack was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on April 2, 1943. He served two years at the World Headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses in New York. He was a "Jack" of all trades and could do just about anything. He was generous with his time and would help anyone in need. He held various jobs in North Platte. He retired in 1994 after 30 years of service with Central Nebraska Public Power. Jack and Audrey moved to North Platte in 1996 and Jack began work with North Platte Public Transit. Jack suffered a stroke in 2006. The stroke took Jack's ability to communicate well with others away, but it did not take his smiles, love for people, and laughter away. He loved to go outside in his wheelchair and would wave and visit with others in his neighborhood. He enjoyed having company. His face would light up when someone came to visit him. Survivors include his wife, Audrey of 58 years; three sons, Stanley of Kearney, Randy (Kim) of Texas, and Jason of North Platte; two daughters, RaeAnn (Robert) Lorence of Lincoln, NE and Dana Glaze of Omaha, NE. Jack also enjoyed his 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Thomas; a grandson, Jeremiah; a daughter-in-law, Leanne; as well as two infant brothers. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Joel Sinclair officiating. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
