In 1301 married to Dimitar Duca Komnenos Kutrulis; he had been formerly married to In 1278 he married Anna Komnina Palaiologina,[died 1300} daughter of the Byzantine Emperor Michael VIII Palaiologos (1259–1282), and received from his father-in-law the title of despot. [2][3] From that marriage he had two sons, Andronikos (fl. 1326/1328, governor of Berat) and Constantine.[4]
