George Ducrest DeLaureal, seventy-one years of age, passed away on December 21, 1968 at his residence following a brief illness.

He was a retired New Orleans businessman and a native of Broussard. He attended Stanton Military Academy in Virginia and graduated from Catholic University in Chicago. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Army and served his country during World War II. After his return from service, he entered the oil refining industry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Rene and Marie Ducrest DeLaureal.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Josephine Sullivan DeLaureal; a daughter, Patricia Hunter; a son, David Michel DeLaureal; six brothers, Robert Todd DeLaureal, Dr. Boni James DeLaureal, Dr. Hugh DeLaureal, William David DeLaureal, Col. L Paul DeLaureal, and Capt. Henry Howard DeLaureal; four sisters, Marie Celeste Boagni, Carmen Marie Gardiner, Marie DeLaureal, and Margaret Taylor; and five grandsons.
