Edgar or "Pop" Miller as he was known to many is the son of Cornelius Miller (1870-abt 1910) and Olive O. (Alma) Gavette (1885-1968). He married April 24, 1926 in Jackson, Michigan to Winnifred Alice Gooding (1907-2000). They moved to the Van Buren County, Michigan area in the mid 1930's and settle finally at 3 Hilliard St. in Hartford, Van Buren, Michigan in 1943, where they lived until they retired to Florida in 1975. Pop and Winnie ran a creamery in Hartford for many years, Pop also ran a gas station there. He was also a truck driver most of his life, and then was a member of the Hartford Police Department.
Together Pop and Winnie raised nine children: Edgar A., Jr. 1927-1984; William John 1929-1990; Ruth Marion (Hedlund) 1932; Glynn Lavern 1935-1993; Leland Howard 1938-1998; Henry Albert 1940-1997; Raymond George 1943; Thomas Carl 1945-1974; and Dorothy Marie (Flores) 1950-1986.
