James was born in 1873 in Garden Valley,Boise County,Idaho, where his Father Patrick Glennon had walked from Horseshoe Bend. He moved to Caldwell at the age of 16 from Garden Valley, and married Amanda "Tennie" Stockton in Parma, Idaho. He rode the Siever Irrigation Ditch outside of Caldwell,Idaho, working as a watermaster, dividing the water between the farmers. Then he rode the extension of the Siever Ditch until he died. He was a quiet man, who also served as a square dance caller and loved to dance. When he and "Tennie" attended a dance he really had a good time. Their first child was named Clarence Bazil, and he passed away the same day he was born in 1895, Their children were Harland Fredrick born in 1897,followed by Hilda Alberta in 1903, Audrey Madeline in 1905, John Edward (Buss)in 1908, Mary Grace in 1912 and James Harold in 1916. In 1921 James and Amanda separated and divorced again. Neither of them remarried. James passed away in in Caldwell, Idaho in 1939 at the age of 66.
