Funeral services for Larry Wayne Orr Jr. will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14 at First Baptist Church with Revs. John Chennault, Lindell Owens, Harold "Pete" Petree and Jerry Ervin Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the El Reno Cemetery under direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.
Mr. Orr died Jan. 9, 2008, at Parkview Hospital. He was born March 10, 1965, in Oklahoma City. He was a lifetime resident of El Reno. He was a foreman for District 2, Canadian County. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed hockey games, hunting, being outdoors and OU sports.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Maxine Robinson; grandfather, Jack Orr; half sister, Chassity Pogue; and stepfather, Butch Wiedemann.
He married Christine Cline on Aug. 3, 1984, in El Reno. Christine survives him in death.
He is also survived by two sons, John Wayne Orr and Jack Dempsey Orr, both of the home; his father, Larry Orr Sr. and wife, Sherri of Kingston; his mother, Linda Orr Owens and husband, Danny of Oklahoma City; grandparents, J.T. and Lou Robinson of El Reno; brothers, Mike Orr of Yukon, Jack Orr of New Orleans, Randy Orr of Shawnee and Paul Pogue of Oklahoma City; and a sister, Sherry Orr, living in Texas.
