Marcella May Frey, 92, of Logansport, IN, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Miller's Merry Manor in Logansport, IN.
Born on March 12, 1930, Marcella was the daughter of the late Marshall and Jennie (Funk) Hoch. Marcella was married to Francis L. "Frank" Zeider, who preceded in death on August 12, 1961. On February 5, 1966 in Logansport, IN, she married Wendell Neal Frey, who preceded in death on October 7, 2006.
Marcella graduated from Pioneer High School. While working at Switches (for 30 years) she attended IUK and received her bachelor's degree. She then worked for the CDC in Monticello before retiring from the Logansport State Hospital.
Marcella enjoyed working in her garden and being outside. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Marcella was a lifelong servant of the Salvation Army, even into her late 80's, she was always willing to volunteer her time to serve others.
Surviving are one son; one daughter; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two daughters; two brothers; and two sisters.
A celebration of life service for Marcella will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Eric Stovall officiating. Burial will take place in Royal Center Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Friday
