Nellie Albertina (Tooke) was the daughter of Rev. Francis Washington and Amie (Hall) Tooke. She was the wife of Rev. Loucie Doughty Woodmancy. They were married June 8, 1899. Rev. Tooke was a minister in the Genesee Conference/Erie Conference/Northern New York Conference and New York Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He died February 9, 1942. Nellie was a graduate of Syracuse University College of Fine Arts, class of 1898. She was an accomplished violinist and pianist. In 1911 while in the Genesee (now Western New York) Conference, she was District Secretary of Olean District Woman's Foreign Missionary Society - at this time she was a member of the Wellsville, New York, Methodist Episcopal Church.
