M. Luella Ashworth of Westbrookville, a retired bookkeeper for Deerpark Lumber Company, Port Jervis, and a lifelong resident of the area, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Westchester County Medical Center, Valhalla. She was 86.
The daughter of the late Albert P. and Jessie Paterson Ashworth, she was born April 15, 1911, in Westbrookville.
She was a member of Westbrookville United Methodist Church; Ladies Aid Society of the church; Westbrookville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary; and the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, Wurtsboro.
Survivors include one brother, William J. Ashworth of Westbrookville; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Westbrookville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Betsy Ott will officiate.
Burial will be in Westbrookville Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Port Jervis.
