When Thomas Olavus Thompson was born on August 31, 1872, in Quarry, Wisconsin, his father, Even (Edwin) Thompson, was 29 and his mother, Anna Marie Aabol Thompson, was 22. Thomas married Carrie in 1898 and they had two daughters, Nora and Elene. After Carrie died in 1903 Thomas moved back to his hometown of Valders, WI.
In 1905 his daughter Elene died in Valders and was buried in the Thompson family burial site.
Thomas married Berthina Aletta Helgeson Thompson in 1906 and they had three children together. He died on January 29, 1948, in Seattle, Washington, at the age of 75.
