A.D. McGhee, age 97, of Knoxville passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022. He was a deacon at John Sevier Baptist Church and a member for over 70 years. A.D. enjoyed raising cows and helping neighbors with their needs. He is retired from Power Equipment Company. His greatest joys were his grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Ward McGhee; parents, Costo and Leona Lowe McGhee; twin, J.D. McGhee, son-in-law, Jack Wright.
Survived by children, Tona Diane Wright, Leona Elaine Archer (Kenneth); grandchildren, Allen Wright, Nichole Wright Madden (Joe), Lindsey Archer Allan (Brandon); great grandchild, Quinn Elyse Allan; sisters, Bobbie Brasher and Esther Olson.
The family will receive friends 12:00-2:00 PM Thursday, May 12, 2022, followed by services at 2:00 PM with Rev. Brandon Gurley officiating. The interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
