MARIAN E. CURLEY, 85, of Phoenex, AZ, formerly of Thomson and Fulton, IL, died Friday, January 8, 2010 at Friendship Village Healthcare Center in Tempe, AZ.

Marian was born November 13, 1924, in Newton Township, Whiteside Co., IL, to Clarence and Margaret (Wulf) Huggins. She was educated in the Albany Grade and High School and graduated from Morrison High School in Morrison, IL. She married Delbert V. Curley on July 25, 1946 in Davenport, IA. He died December 17, 2006. Marian worked in various switchboard operator and secretarial positions in Clinton and Fulton, including several years at Agri-King of Fulton, where she was affectionately known as its "First Lady". The international livestock nutrition business was founded in 1968 by her late husband. Prior to 1960, the couple farmed in the Toulon, IL area and later owned the Mari-Del Laundromat in Galva, IL. Marian was a devoted homemaker and an avid golfer, and had been a member at the Fulton Country Club, as well as Lynnwood Lynx in Thomson, IL and Ahwatukee Country Club in Phoenix, AZ.

Survivors include two sons, Clark (Ann) Curley of Fulton, and Robert (Ann) Curley of Thomson; two daughters, Sharon Batterham of Las Vegas, NV and Nanette (Frank) Talbot of Fulton; eight grandchildren, David (Christa) Curley, Sean (Violet) Talbot, Danielle Curley, Brian (Dana) Curley, Dru Curley, Dane (Christiann) Curley, Adelle (Travis) Crotteau, Chad (Jill) Batterham and Derek (Diane) Batterham; eleven great grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Helen) Huggins of Victorville, CA and three sisters-in-law, Edna (David) Mooney of Chandler, AZ, Lila Ritchie of Phoenix, AZ and Leona (Vernon) Mattie of Thomson, IL.

PRIVATE FAMILY FUNERAL SERVICE: To be held at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home
INTERMENT: Lower York Cemetery - Thomson, IL
CELEBRATION OF LIFE RECEPTION: 5:30 P.M. Friday, January 15, 2010 at Buck's Barn, Thomson, IL
