Willis Alexander, 56, a native of Ridgely, Tennessee, died Monday at a local hospital after a long illness. He had lived in Natchez for the past 40 years.
Preceded in his death were his parents John Lee Gray and Elizabeth (Jones) Bromley and two brothers, Dale Homer Gray, and Willie R. Gray and sisters, Ollie Mae Gunter and Lovie Elizabeth Gunter.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Anders Gray, Natchez; six sons, Leroy, Robert, Clarence, Alton, David and Hubert Gray, all of Natchez; two daughters, Mrs. John Gray, Natchez; Mrs. W.A. Breighaupt, Ferriday, Louisiana; two brothers Handy Stigler Gray, Natchez, Charley E. Gray, Sacramento, Ca. two sisters, Mrs. Nathan (Stella) Anders, Sr., Natchez, and Mrs. Doyle L. (Pearl) Morrison, Utica,; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
