Sherrie Lynn McCutcheon of Charleston, Arkansas, was killed in an automobile accident on Saturday, May 7, 2022, near Central City, Arkansas. She was born on August 27, 1967, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to the late Michael G. Bigler and Sirley Leona (Brasher) Bigler. She was 54 years old. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Krystal Jones, her grandson, Jackson Yancy, and her granddaughter, Bailee Jones.

For several years, Sherrie worked at Riverside Furniture Factory in Fort Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21st at the Charleston High School Gymnasium, with Pastor Terry Scott officiating. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 23rd at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Hackett, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela McPhail and husband Robert of Charleston; her son, Jonathon McCutcheon and wife Nikki of Charleston; a sister, Kim Williams and husband John of Charleston; four brothers, Michael Cason, Harvey Jack Cason and wife Mary of Fort Smith, Rick Cason of Oklahoma, and Terry Bigler and wife Lisa of Sallisaw.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Williams, Christopher Williams, Robert McPhail, Thomas Jones, and David Weis.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

A crash left three people dead including a minor Saturday afternoon on State Highway 22 and Carter Street.

According to a report from the Arkansas Department of Public Safety, Krystal Jones, 34, was driving a 2002 GMC Yukon when a 2014 Land Rover struck her vehicle head-on. The crash killed her and two other passengers while injuring three others.

Jones, Sherrie McCutchen, 54, and a minor died in the crash.

According to the report, the driver of the Land Rover and the passengers in the Yukon were left with injuries and were transported to Baptist Health-Fort Smith and Mercy Hospital Fort Smith.

The 2002 GMC Yukon was driving east on State Highway 22. The Land Rover was driving west when it crossed the center turn lane, striking the Yukon head on. The driver of the Land Rover is an unidentified minor.
