Jerry J. Ostrum Sr., age 72, of Nekoosa, WI died Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at his home with his family by his side.

A Memorial Service will held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa. Pastor Josh Pegram will officiate, burial will take place at a later date in Pioneer Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home on Monday, May 16th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, and again on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Jerry was born June 21, 1949 in Wisconsin Rapids to James and Rose (Rapacz) Ostrum. He married Jeanette Millard on March 1, 1969 at the Nekoosa United Church of Christ. Jerry was a self-employed Mechanic until retirement. After retirement, he enjoyed splitting and delivering wood. Jerry enjoyed trout fishing, cutting wood, working on cars, going to the casino, talking about old times and taking car rides. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Jerry is survived by his wife Jeanette Ostrum, children: Jerry Ostrum Jr., Brenda (Mike) Black, Laura (Scott) Johns, grandchildren: Summer Johns, McKenna Black, Rylee Black, Boden Ostrum, Gavin Black, Tanner Johns, Lucas Ostrum, Taylor Johns, Jacob Ostrum, great-grandson Grayson Johns, brothers: Ed Ostrum, James (Laurie) Ostrum, Joe (Patricia) Ostrum, sisters: LaVerne (Keith) Adams, Eileen (John) Savage, Ellen Aron, Kathy (Bob) Hoffman, Louise (Joseph) Bubla, he is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, brother-in-law's, sister-in-law's and his best friend Mike Callahan.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Rose Ostrum, brother Harold Ostrum, sister Judy Stewart, several nephews, nieces and cousins, brother-in-law Robert Stewart and sister-in-law Judy Ostrum.

The family would like to thank the hospice care team of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice for the excellent care given to Jerry.
