Reda M. Amos, 97, of Union Bridge, MD and formerly of the Knob Fork area died Thursday, May 12, 2022.

She was born September 18, 1924 at Wileyville, WV, a daughter of the late Clarence O. Poulton and Gladys V. Delaney Poulton.

Reda was a former employee of the Shortline Telephone Company and its successors. She was a member of the Crossroads Extension Homemaker Club and the Wetzel County Farm Bureau. She was a rosie the riveter during World War II.

Mrs. Amos was also a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Knob Fork.

Surviving are two daughters, Margaret A. "Peggy" Hunter of Union Bridge, MD and Robecca S. Dietzler of Elkader, Iowa; one brother, Charles Dulaney of Colliers; one sister, Geneva McCarthey of Miami, Florida; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her foster parents, William T. Sidell and Dessie Thomas Sidell; her husband, Cloyd Amos who died on March 26, 1994; her step-father, Edward Dulaney; two brothers, James Poulton and Zane Dulaney; and two sisters, Norma Martin and Wanama Roberts.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM Noon on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville, WV with interment to follow in the cemetery.
