A private family burial will take place at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 20,2022 in Hammond Cemetery in Hammond, IL; Pastor Lanny Faulkner will officiate. Military Rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 770. Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, located at 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL 61938 is in charge of the services.
PeeWee was born on June 2, 1959, in Tompkinsville, KY to the late James C. and Lucy E. (Stewart) Arnett. He is survived by his five siblings: Bob Arnett and wife Carol of Tuscola, IL, Darrell Arnett, Danny Arnett, Wanda Mosbarger and husband Gary, Brenda Sebens and husband Roger, all of Hammond, IL; numerous nieces and nephews, and many great- nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his two brothers, Dale and Reggie Arnett.
Rickey was an Atwood Hammond High School graduate in 1977. He later honorably served our country as a Sergeant stationed Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico, in the United States Airforce from 1980 until 1986. After his honorable discharge, Peewee worked as a laborer for Kal Kan. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, loved fishing, and the time spent with his family.
