DeVita, Jody Louise (Ford), age 49 of Medina, formerly of Union, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2008. She was a loving wife and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Jody enjoyed her family and enjoyed taking care of children. She had also attended St. Peter Catholic Church in Huber Heights.

She is survived by her loving husband: Stephen DeVita, children: Amy Fortunato of Vandalia, Mindy Fortunato of Union, Stephanie (John) Gutendorf of Washington, D.C., Laura Marie DeVita of Dayton, Timothy Andrew DeVita of Dayton, special granddaughter: Ava Fortunato, mother: Erlene (Ruxer) Ford of Clayton, brothers: William and Ronald Ford of Clayton, sisters and brothers-in-law: Brenda (Danny) Lecklider of Clayton, Sandra (Randy) Schaurer of Phillipsburg, Terri Cheadle of Centerville,father-in-law and mother-in-law: Vincent and Gertrude DeVita of Lima, brother-in-law: Michael Gerard (Marilyn) DeVita of Lima, sisters-in-law: Carmen (Calvin) Long and Cynthia (Gary) Gerhardt of Grove City, special friends: Marsha and Rob Winkler family of Union, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father: Eugene Ford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 10 at St. Peter Catholic Church (6161 Chambersburg Road) in Huber Heights with Father John MacQuarrie as celebrant. Interment will follow the Mass at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Brookville. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) where prayers will be said at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, prior to Mass. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, envelopes will be provided.
