Archie W. "Woody" Adams, Jr. of Blackshear passed away Monday (May 16, 2022) in Cordele, Georgia. He was born in Asheboro, North Carolina on March 15, 1961. Woody was 61 years young at the time of his arrival in Heaven. He enjoyed football and played in high school for Trinity High School. He was an exceptional musician, playing the drums for bands such as Woodard Bro. Band, The Zoo and they opened for numerous famous bands which made him proud. Woody gave his life to Jesus along with his drumsticks, that's when he became a drummer for Jesus. He was a certified electrician for many years. He had a heart to help others fixing things with any electric issue. Woody was a loving husband, dad, gramps, papa and friend. He was loved and will be greatly missed.
He was greeted in heaven by his father and mother, Archie and Bernice Adams; a daughter, Christen Adams Wolfe; a brother, David Adams and a sister, Carolyn Adams Rios.
He left but is loved by his wife, Angela Adams and her children, Chris Roberson, Allen Moore, Joshua Moore; mother-in-love, Shirley Landon; a daughter, Rebecca Adams; mother of children, Wanda Adams; sister-in-law, Gwen Adams and her children, Jr., Sherry, Steve, Sonya; son-in-love, Josh and Cindy Wolfe; grandchildren, Mykaylah Wolfe, Aileyanuh Wolfe, Madisyn Moore, Levi Moore; numerous other relatives.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life on Monday (May 23, 2022) at 1:00pm at First Assembly of God in Baxley, Georgia, 3397 Hatch Parkway N., Baxley, GA, 31513. They will receive friends beginning at 12:00pm at the church. (Miles and Odum-Waycross, Ga)
