George Carveth, 70, Dies Working in The Garden
George Preston Carveth, 70, died suddenly Monday morning while working in his garden, at 812 West Grand Avenue. He had not been feeling well for some time and had been under treatment from a physician for heart trouble for the last year.
Mr. Carveth was born in Exeter in 1865. He lived in Decatur for the last 15 years. His wife died in 1927. He leaves one daughter, Miss Lillie Carveth, who is a teacher at the Roosevelt Junior High school, and four sons Cecil and Gene Carveth, Decatur, Frank Carveth, Danville and John Carveth, Kirksville, N. Y.
