LAMESA (SC)-- Funeral Services for Mrs. Effie Stephenson, 87, will be held Friday morning at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Rising Star, with Branon-Phillips Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Stephenson died Wednesday morning in the hospital in Andrews. She was born Feb. 19, 1880, in Eastland County, and moved to Lamesa in 1947.
She is survived by five daughters: Mrs. Cora Lissenbee, Lamesa, Mrs. Vera Kelton and Mrs. Ruby McReynolds, both of Andrews, Mrs. Vera Kiker, Bogota; and Mrs. Nellie Casler, Weatherford; four sons: A. A. Stephenson, Lamesa, W. S. Stephenson, Weatherford, G. M. Stephenson, Rising Star, and T. D. Stephenson, Hamilton; one sister, one brother, 32 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and one Great-great-grandchild.
