Russell (Rus) Wilson Allen, age 72, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 15, 2022, with his loyal dog, Gypsy, at his side. He was born and raised in the Lansing, Michigan area on February 3, 1950, to A. Wilson and Beulah (Ross) Allen. He then married Judy Murray of Gladwin, Michigan on October 3, 1970, having 51 years together.

Next to loving God was his love of farming. He was a very hard worker, having worked at Fisher Body, Lansing; Asphalt Co, East Lansing; Franklin Forge, West Branch; over the road truck driver visiting Canada and all the states but two. He then retired from MDOT in 2012 with 9 years and retired from farming in 2019.

Rus very much enjoyed making and inventing his own things; fabricating and fixing things. He enjoyed gardening, He was a member of the Antique Power in Motion Tractor Club of Michigan, having driven across the Mackinaw Bridge 3 times; Cruisers for Christ and Ox Drovers Assoc. Rus loved his family and enjoyed camping and traveling.

He was a member of Colonville Bible Church, Clare, MI where he served as deacon for many years.

Rus was preceded in death by his parents A. Wilson and Beulah (Ross) Allen; brothers Edwin, Keith and Clark Allen, nephews Robert Allen, Travis Allen, and Justin White.

He is survived by his wife, Judy of Clare, their 5 children Amy (Todd) LeVasseur of Harrison, Rachael Allen-Baker of Clare, Mariah (Bruce) Smith of Mason, Karla Favorite (Jason Stuckmann) of Midland, and Ross (Misti) Allen of Glenrock, WY; grandchildren Elyssa (Chris), Elayna, Hailey, Hannah, Rylie, Josie, Chelsea, Bryce, Brody, Wesston, Kable, and many bonus grandchildren; 2 sisters Barb (Bill) Frank, Eau Claire; Ruth Lathrop, Hesperia; brother Kevin Allen of Hesperia; many nieces and nephews; brother in law Jim Murray (Carla Good) of Gladwin, sister in laws Jean (Ernie) Carr, Elsie and Linda Murray, of Bay City.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Colonville Bible Church, 7233 East Colonville Rd, Clare, MI 48617. Rus will lie in state at church from 9:00 Am until time of service on Thursday, May 26. He will also lie in state at the Colonville Bible Church, 7233 East Colonville Rd, Clare, MI 48617 on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 4 pm until 8 pm. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 4 pm until 8 pm at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Gladwin Chapel, 135 North Silverleaf St, Gladwin, Michigan 48624. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Gladwin Chapel.
