Daughter, Herlinda "Linda" Loredo, fluent in both English and Spanish, became a Hal Roach star of his Spanish (and English) language shorts and played both Laurel's and Hary's wife along with many other roles. Shortly before Linda's untimely death from appendicitis, a news clipping advertized one of her films playing at the magnificent California Theater at 810 S Main Street in Downtown Los Angeles..."Hal Roach's latest Spanish talking comedy entitled 'El Jugador de Golf,' starring Charley Chase, Linda Loredo and many others." (Los Angeles Evening Express, Los Angeles, California, Friday 06 Mar 1931, page 13) One film, "Come Clean," with Laurel & Hardy, was released after Linda's death. Maria Loredo, also an actress, is known for silent film, The Santa Fe Trial (1923).
