Anna Kathleen "Kate" Babbs went home to Jesus on May 20, 2022 at the age of 99. Kate was born to Oscar and Mary Gardner Strange on August 09, 1922 in Washington, Indiana. In addition to being a dedicated and loving Mother and Grandmother, Kate also loved gardening, reading, serving her church, and cooking holiday meals for her family. Throughout her entire life she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Kate joins her husband, Robert Lee Babbs; infant daughter, Marilyn Sue Babbs; grandson, Benjamin Gilbert Young; five brothers, Ernest Gilbert Strange, Charles Strange, Oscar Junior Strange, Herald Ray Strange, and Morris Strange; two sisters, Francis Strange May and Vivian Strange Sodrel in heaven. Kate is survived by four children, Priscilla Ann Clegg, Robert Lee Babbs Jr.(Ruth Ann), Sharon Kay Young (Joseph Jr.), and Carol Jean Amos (James Leroy); nine grandchildren, Lori Ann Cook, Melissa Kay Clegg, Samuel Lee Babbs, James Leroy Amos Jr., Melanie Kathleen Young, Jerry Dewayne Amos, Daniel Lee Amos, Jason Christopher Babbs, and Karen Michelle Amos; nine great grandchildren, Amanda Kathleen Wenger, Eric Patrick Cook, Blake Michael Babbs, Bailey Francis Babbs, Benjamin Matthew Young, Brianna Marie Sanders, Charles Damon Amos, Alexis Isabella Amos, and Elizabeth Lauren Taylor; and three great great grandchildren, Asher Gregory Wenger, Emery Kate Wenger, and Brooks Owen Wenger. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Collins Funeral Home with Phil LaMaster officiating. Visitation: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Collins Funeral Home.
