Elva Lucille Abbott, daughter of John and Mary Belle Dennis Rosevear, was born November 19, 1911, near Mansfield, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, November 24, 2002, in Rocky Ridge Manor, in Mansfield, Missouri, at the age of ninety-one years, and five days.

Early in her life she was united in marriage to Everette Brazeal, and to this union two daughters were born. Mr. Brazeal preceded her in death.

On June 16, 1948, she was united in marriage to Elgie Abbott, and together they shared thirty-three years before his passing on June 2, 1982.

Her parents and a brother, Earl Rosevear, also preceded her in death.

Elva is survived by two daughters, Norma Jean Kingery, and her husband, Richard, of Lucerne, MO and Betty Buckner, and her husband, Jerry, of Springfield, MO; two grandsons, Randy Buckner, and his wife, Claudette Riley, of Springfield, MO, and Dennis Kingery, and his wife, Sue, of Salem, IA; three great-grandchildren, Derek Scroggins, of Springfield, MO, Dawn McClure, of Cedar Falls, IA, and Kim Kingery, of Mount Pleasant, IA; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

She lived her entire life in the Mansfield, MO area. After she was married, she continued to make her home in the Mansfield community, lovingly raised her daughters, and was a devoted and hardworking homemaker.

Elva had attended the Mansfield United Methodist Church throughout the years.

Her family was very important to her and she greatly enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Elva was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Graveside services will be held November 26, 2002 at 2:00p.m. in the Newton Cemetery under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Mansfield, Missouri.
