OBITUARY: Hazel Alverta Lantz, 84, of Aurora. W.Va., died Saturday, January 25 at her home. Born November 10, 1901 at Aurora, she was a daughter of the late Emma Wotring. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Lantz, in 1983. She was a teacher and homemaker, a charter member of Mt. View Rebekah Lodge No. 14 at Aurora, and the oldest member of the Aurora United Methodist Church. She is survived by three sons, Maynard Lantz, Aurora; Alva Lantz, Mazon, ILL, and Glen Lantz, Medina, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Roscoe (Ruth) Teets, Eglon, W,Va.; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at the Aurora United Methodist Church January 27 by Rev. Annabelle Childers, assisted by the Rev. Rogers Fike. Interment followed in the Aurora Cemetery.
