In 1956, they moved to Sioux Falls where Carroll was employed at the SF Stockyards for 22 years. He joined the City of Sioux Falls as a master carpenter and continued in this position for 21 years, retiring in 1997 at the age of 64. He enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, bird watching and gardening.
Carroll is survived by his wife Corinne, his daughters Lynn (Herb) Banks and Leslie (Mark) Mills, his son Chuck, his daughter-in-law Lisa, his brother-in-law Dale Olson, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren plus many nieces and nephews.
Those welcoming Carroll home are his daughter Lee Engelbrecht, his son Scott Barnes, his granddaughter Jamie Barnes, his parents, and his six brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5:00-9:00pm Wednesday, May 24, 2017 with family present to greet friends from 6:00-8:00pm in our chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
