Charles Lashmit Rites Monday
Services will be held Monday, April 5, 1965, at 2p.m. at the Foursquare Indian Church here for Charles Lashit, 83, former Petoskey resident who died Thursday at Mount Vernon, Ohio where ha had resided for the past two years. The Rev. Emily Smith will officiate and interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
He was born December 28, 1881, in Winston-Salem,North Carolina. He was a retired carpenter and cabinet maker and a member of the First Foursquare Indian Church of Petoskey.
He is survived by his wife, Maggie; four sons, George of Petoskey, Paul of Mishawaka, Indiana, Hubert of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Ellis of Mt. Vernon.,Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs, Paul Boyer of Winston-Salem.
The body is at the Stone Funeral Home where friends may call.
