Bird was born in North Carolina, he and his first wife Sarah Frances(Frankie)Dever started on their journey to Texas, Sarah died shortly after they arrived in Bristol, Ellis County, Texas.Their last child Arthur Marvin(Peeley)was born in Mississippi enroute.. L.R. married Sally A (King)Lumpkins and they had two children, Maud and Claude, L.R. After the death of Sally married Aurelia Beatrice Allen and they had one son, Leonard R. they had moved from Ennis to Haskell and he and Aurelia lived there until their death.
