James Willie Abrams

James Abrams affectionately known to family and friends as "Ned" was born July 4, 1932 in Waynesboro, Georgia to the late Mrs. Amanda Walker and Mr. James Abrams Sr.

In 1960 James relocated to Florida. He was employed by South Bay Growers for many years, but James retired from U.S. Sugar where he drove Cane Trucks. In 1996 he married Lottie Mae Lee Abrams, this union lasted until her demise on January 2, 2006.

James entered into eternal rest on June 25, 2017.

He is survived by his daughters, Lakesha McCall (Eddie Jr.), Marilyn Lee, Arkelia Eubanks (Bernard). Lilian Jones, Connie Prescod (Phillip); two sons: Ronnie Lee, Lonnie Lee Jr.; special grandchildren: Samuel McKenzie Jr., James McKenzie, Tariana Dhilwayo, Kaniyah Dhilwayo, Emanuel McKenzie, Shagaryia Lewis, Taja Simms, Shawn Vickers; one great granddaughter: Alexiya McKenzie; brothers: John Abrams, Joseph Abrams; sisters: Fannie Johnson, Ola Dixon, Minnie Styles, Bertha Bowley, Christine Chandler, Mary Robinson; special friends: Joseph Foster, Bernard Boldin, Horace Coleman, Betty Bernard and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, uncles, aunts and friends.

Butts Funeral Home in Belle Glade is entrusted with arrangements.
