Veteran, WW2, Korea, Vietnam - Colonel - US Air Force. Colonel Adcock was shot down over Tunisia in WWII and was a POW. Adcock, Roy Dale, 2Lt., Pilot, Enlistment Service # : 19060779 Officer's Service # : O-662851
MISSING IN ACTION on 04 April 1943~POW~On Bombing Mission; The target was El Djem airdrome. The escort was Spitfires. 700 rounds of ammunition was expended. 288 x 20 lb frags were dropped in train from 6000 ft. Lt. Adcock and crew failed to return. He was last seen with his left engine smoking. It was later confirmed by two Spitfire pilots that the ship went down behind enemy lines.

Roy flew over in the B-25 #41-13181 in the (now famous) "General Bob Knapp's 321st Bomb Group flight over the Atlantic, in a solid mass without loss" , this is the same B-25 that he crashed in!
