Charles Vernon Finger – age 91 of Knoxville, a loving husband, father, grandfather, faithful servant, mission minded, Jesus loving man of God, entered his heavenly home, Monday, May 23, 2022. He was born February 28, 1931, served in the U.S. Marine Corp and a member of Blount Baptist Church. He loved to read and had a passion for teaching others to read.

He is preceded in death by his honey of 66 years, Mary Hicks Finger; his loving first-born child, Linda Gail Stafford; parents, Beulah and Frank Finger; sisters, Peggy Byrd and Doris Willis.

He is survived by daughter, Terry Finger; son, Charles Ray Finger and family, wife Kimberly, grandson, Brennan and family, Kayla, Cayden and Beckham; granddaughter, Bailey and family, Jake and Declan; daughter, Rhonda Gregg and family, granddaughters, Elizabeth, Kaitlyn and Mackenzie; daughter, Shonna Moss and family, Mike and granddaughter, Abigail; granddaughter, Whitney Lee Richardson and family, Mike and great granddaughter, Zoe Grace and special friend, Jimmy Domico.

Family and friends will meet at 11:00 am Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Greenwood Cemetery for a graveside service with Pastor Byron Chambers officiating and family friend, Arnie Lethgo sharing his Eulogy. Military Honors will be provided by Volunteer State Honor Guard. We wish to extend our sincere thank you for prayers and support during this difficult time.
