Al Geraldine "Geri" Bruner, 89, passed away on Sunday, May 29th, 2022 at her home. She was born on December 29, 1932.
She was the Event Coordinator at Hilton Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, FL, for 25 years. She loved playing Bunco and was the life of the party, always making everyone laugh. She was loved by all who knew her.
She was a Christian and was a long-time member of Utica Church of Christ, but later was a regular attender of Oak Park Baptist.
She is survived by her daughters Rhonda Calvert of Jeffersonville, IN, and Teresa Morris (Claude) of Jeffersonville, IN; grandsons Brandon Hill (April) of Charlestown, IN, and Jason Ogden (Misti) of Jeffersonville, IN; great-granddaughters Amber Ogden of Jeffersonville, IN, Destiny Ogden of Sellersburg, Kennedy Smith of Bloomington, IN, Anna Hill of Charlestown, IN, and Sophia Hill of Charlestown, IN; great-grandson Ryder Ogden of Jeffersonville, IN; great-great-grandson Kyngston Blanton; partner Ronald "Bud" Bruner of Jeffersonville, IN; niece and longtime caregiver Giovanna Clark of Jeffersonville, IN; sisters-in-laws Alice Ellis and Martha Whetsell of Jeffersonville, IN; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her sister Wanda Cellini of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and brother Donald Ellis of Jeffersonville, IN.
A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 4th, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Utica Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the service.
