Shirley J. Barnholdt, 82, of Pitcher Hill in North Syracuse, passed away Saturday. She worked as a waitress at Sky Chef, Hancock Airport, for 30 years. She was a member of VFW Post 7290 Ladies Auxiliary. Shirley was prede-ceased by her husband, Carl, and a son, John Barnholdt. She was an inspiration to everyone she touched and will be deeply missed. She is survived by a son, Michael (Beth) Barnholdt; six daughters, Nancy (Wayne) Cogan, JoAnne (Terrance) Baker, Susan (Mark) Squire, Patty (Joseph) DeLuca, Sandy Barnholdt and Dianne (David) Kufel; a sister, Audrey Funke; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Margaret's Church, Mattydale. Burial will follow in North Syracuse Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse.
