Mrs. Hannah J. Benson, 79, native of Oswego, who had been a Syracusan for 45 years and lived at 316 Burdick Avenue, will be buried Friday in North Syracuse. Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 2:30 P.M. by the Rev. Burton E. Butman, pastor of First Ward Methodist Episcopal Church. Mrs. Benson, who had been ill since December and died Tuesday at the home, is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bertha M. Smith of Syracuse and Mrs. Howard Herrick of Claverack; two sons, John R. Benson of Syracuse and Hartwell Benson of Detroit; 11 grandchildren, and a brother, Charles H. Middletown of Marshall, Minn.
