Bertha Ferguson Miller, age 98, of Asheboro passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Alpine Health & Rehabilitation. Mrs. Miller was born in Randolph County on November 23, 1923 to Malphus and Nora Brewer Ferguson.

Bertha grew up in Ramseur and retired from Bossong Hosiery. In addition to her parents, Bertha was preceded in death by her husband, Luther A. Miller, Sr., son, Gilbert Miller, 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.

She was formerly a very active resident of the Asheboro Summit Apartments where she was in charge of the flower fund and in bringing in gospel singers and ministers for Sunday church services. Bertha loved her family, but her first love was God and she was always sharing her faith.

She is survived by her daughter; two sons; thirteen grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; and special niece.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tim Poindexter officiating.
