June Joann (Brown) Ruple was born June 30th, 1936 in Gilbert, AZ to Merley Venton and Mamie Ethel (Huffines) Brown. On the quiet evening of Sunday, June 5th, 2022, while at home with her loving husband, she left this world for a better life.

Growing up in Arizona, June was the oldest of nine living children. She helped raise her brothers and sisters while her parents worked in the fields. When she was about twelve years old, she moved away from home for a while to care for a family with a sick mother.

In 1954, June graduated from Gilbert High School in Gilbert, AZ.

On April 28th, 2001, June married Fred Ruple, the love of her life. The two soon moved to the countryside near Mannford and made a happy home together.

Throughout her life, June was a colorful person, always active in some sort of crafts or activities, and holding varied jobs.

She sang with her mother on the radio as a youth, and later she sang soprano with her first husband and daughter, and in a ladies quartet at Calvary Baptist Church in Broken Arrow. She also sang backup for her daughter at multiple events. She had a strong voice and loved singing.

June was a devoted Christian and member of Calvary Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, Faith Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, and Fisher Baptist Church/The Father's House in Sand Springs.

As her generation of women became the first to mix a "stay-at-home mom" lifestyle with jobs outside the home, June somehow managed to make sure her family had good home-cooked meals, clean clothes, and a tidy home. She also enjoyed cooking, creating and selling crochet and other crafts, decorating her home, sewing – often making daily clothes, uniforms, costumes, and formal wear for herself and her children, and being active in church and other activities.

June held many different jobs over the years. She worked for a bank, waited tables with a smile, worked in data processing and telephone sales, delivered tickets to the Firefighters' Ball, drove a school bus and a dump truck, worked in real estate, ran her own insurance company for multiple years, and was a top seller for Tupperware, Fuller Brush, and other products, including Avon, which she loved and sold for about 30 years. She was a very talented artist with a pen and frequently found the opportunity to use that talent in her work. She often held up to three or four jobs at a time and was the epitome of high-level multi-tasking.

This amazing woman was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Eldon Brown, Dale Brown, Robert Brown, Junior Brown, and one sister: Deborah Booker. She leaves behind her loving husband, two children, three sisters, one brother, four grandsons, eleven great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and a very close friend of 53 years.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to her Linda and Cheri of Seasons Hospice for their loving care of June.
