Aboard B-17F #42-3464 :
2nd Lt. Ernest B Rockwell Jr, co-pilot, who was seated in the bombardier's position at the nose, was killed instantly in the collision. The remaining crewmembers survived, but several, including the pilot, were injured when the bomber crash landed. Other members parachuted out and landed without injuries.
