Cremation has taken place, and his ashes will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery at a later date.
Bill was a graduate of Jackson High School, and served in the U.S. Air Force. His early adulthood was spent in the St. Joseph area, where he lived, worked and raised his family. He later moved to southern Nevada in the '90s for increasing health concerns and to grow his IT business.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Heckert; son, William E. Scholtes; granddaughter, Hanah E. Scholtes; great-grandson, Niklaus W. Scholtes-Banish; stepchildren, nieces and nephews.
