MARIETTA -- Graveside services for Frances M. Madderra, 92, Thackerville, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lakeview Cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Higle officiating.
Mrs. Madderra was born July 6, 1908, at Shady Dale, to Alton A. and Alva M. Daughrity Woodcock. She died July 29, 2000, in a local health care facility.
She lived 14 years in California and returned to Oklahoma, buying the Camp Shady Store and Filling Station which she helped operate for the following 20 years. She then moved to Thackerville where she was a member of Thackerville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband J.C. "Pete" Madderra in 1976; a son, J.C.; two brothers; two sisters; and a grandson.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth "Bud," Modesto, Calif., and Delbert, of the home; two daughters, Doris Boley, Ardmore, and Virginia Burkholder, Kingston; a brother, Calvin Woodcock, Washington, Utah; two sisters, Marie Coker, Oklahoma City, and Vanita McGuffey, New Castle; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Honorary bearers will be Brandon Roper, Don Burkholder, Lawrence, Justus, Kenneth and Curtis Boley.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Home.
